Local brokers win the broker question. National lenders win first-time buyers.

Ask for the best mortgage broker and the answer is local: Martin Mortgage Group, Raleigh Mortgage Group, Amy Bonis. Ask for a loan officer for first-time buyers and it flips to national lenders: Atlantic Bay, CrossCountry, Guild, Movement. First-time buyers are exactly the people with no lender to call yet.

Paying for the click, missing the question

Of the 161 Triangle lenders and brokers I pulled from Google Maps, 100 were never named. 15 of those carry a Google Ads conversion tag on their site.

A credit union took the refinance question
